College Transfer Programs By State
ALABAMA
Statewide Transfer and Articulation Reporting System (STARS)
The STARS System allows public two-year students in Alabama to obtain a Transfer Guide/Agreement for the major of their choice. This guide/agreement, if used correctly, guides the student through their first two years of coursework and prevents loss of credit hours upon transfer to the appropriate public four-year university in Alabama. Although transfer guides/agreements can only be printed for two-year to four-year transfers, the STARS system can still provide guidance and direction to transfer students who have a different transfer situation.

COLORADO
The Statewide Transfer Policy pertains to the transfer of course credits from one Colorado public higher education institution to another as well as intra-institutional transfer. The policy applies to all Colorado public higher education undergraduate programs, focusing on student movement from two-year to four-year institutions, four-year to four-year institutions, four-year to two-year institutions, or within four year institutions.
This policy does not address transfer issues where the state has limited legal authority: the transfer of credits from private, non-accredited, or out-of-state institutions, or the awarding of credit for non-credit bearing courses.

TEXAS
Texas Common Course Numbering System
The Texas Common Course Numbering System is a voluntary, co-operative effort among Texas community colleges and universities to facilitate transfer of freshman and sophomore level general academic coursework. TCCNS provides a shared, uniform set of course designations for students and their advisors to use in determining both course equivalency and degree applicability of transfer credit on a statewide basis. When students transfer between two participating TCCNS institutions, a course taken at the sending institution transfers as the course carrying the same TCCNS designation at the receiving institution.
The link below provides a listing of four-year institutions, links, and guides to help transfer students plan their four-year degree. See highlighted areas for colleges located within the Austin Community College District service area.

VERMONT
The Community College of Vermont (CCV) has articulation agreements within the Vermont State Colleges (VSC) system that allow CCV graduates to receive junior status in VSC four-year programs. General education requirements fulfilled at CCV will count toward similar requirements at the other VSC schools. The VSC includes CCV, Castleton, Johnson, Lyndon, and Vermont Technical College.
As of fall, 2002, credits taken anywhere in the Vermont State Colleges will appear automatically on any VSC school transcript and will no longer be treated as transfer credits within the VSC. This means students will no longer have to request CCV transcripts be sent to other VSC colleges. It also means that all grades for CCV courses, (including W, D, F) will move with a student from CCV to another VSC college. Also, beginning with fall '02 semester, grades earned at CCV will also automatically factor into a student's grade point average after transfer into another VSC degree program.
CCV also offers students articulation agreements with many other colleges. These are listed on the site below.

WYOMING
The Wyoming Statewide Course Catalog lists the 1000- and 2000-level courses taught throughout the state, and lists three types of lower level courses taught at each Wyoming community college and the University of Wyoming. These are: (1) transfer, (2) equivalencies, and (3) courses that do not transfer to the University of Wyoming.
There are two types of courses that do transfer from each Wyoming community college to the University of Wyoming. The courses designated E (Equivalent) generally share the same prefixes, numbers, and titles and are equivalent across all Wyoming higher education institutions. The T (Transfer) courses transfer to the University, receiving general elective credit, even though they may not be taught at the university or one of the other community colleges.
