Course Description
Harvard Extension School offers a Master's Degree in Information Technology that can be earned primarily through part-time online study. One course of the ten to twelve courses in the curriculum must be taken in-person at Harvard University. Students earn the degree with a concentration in one of the following four areas: software engineering, mathematics and computation, digital media arts and science, or information management systems.
Admissions: Admissions is based primarily on performance in three pre-admission courses, which students may enroll in before being admitted to the degree program. Applicants must have an accredited bachelor's degree.
Requirements and Costs: The degree requires successful completion of 9 courses and a thesis, or 11 courses and a capstone course. Individual graduate courses cost $1,800 to $2,200, so the full degree can be completed for approximately $20,000 - $25,000.
